De vzw COGEN Vlaanderen werd op 4 september 2001 opgericht. De doelstelling van COGEN Vlaanderen is actief bij te dragen aan de ontwikkeling van kwaliteitsvolle WKK in Vlaanderen. COGEN Vlaanderen doet dit vanuit de overtuiging dat WKK een belangrijke rol te spelen heeft in twee deeldomeinen van de duurzame ontwikkeling, te weten een rationele energiepolitiek en het terugdringen van de emissies van broeikasgassen.
COGEN Vlaanderen is gegroeid tot het expertisecentrum en de ontmoetingsplaats voor het WKK gebeuren in Vlaanderen.

BASE COURSE ON COGENERATION - 10th edition !
From 13 - 17 september 2010 COGEN Vlaanderen is organising the 10th edition of its "BASE COURSE ON CHP" - in collaboration with 'École des Mines' in Douai (FR), Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen Dept. PIH in Kortrijk (B) and COGEN Europe.
This base course is much more than a classic course on cogeneration. It is a combination of lectures and practical sessions: labs and computer sessions.
For this reason the course is limited to 25 participants. The course is entirely in English and thus open to participants from all over Europe.
This year's edition will take place in Kortrijk.
